I don’t quite understand this statement. Just because it’s not your cup of tea doesn’t mean that it’s not good or worthwhile. Sci-fi can encompass so many facets of the human experience that there’s no reason to say what it should or shouldn’t be. If you want space battles or aliens or humor, there are other shows that do that better than SGU. It kind of sounds like you only watched it because friends wanted you to, and that’s never really a good reason.

I’m pretty bummed that this show was cancelled—I actually liked it and wanted to see where it was going—but what really gets me is the treatment of the cast and crew. I can understand that the show wasn’t pulling in the ratings as expected, and MGM is pinching every penny as it is, but that’s no way to handle something as big as ending peoples’ livelihoods. The people who put this show together are talented folks and they deserve better than that.
